Dr. Kekevi graduted from the Chemistry Department of Yildiz Techincal University with a degrre of BSc in Chemistry in 2006. Then she continued her graduate studies at the same department and focused on the development of antifoaming polysiloxanes. She recieved MSc in Chemistry in 2009. During her PhD, she focused on the development of biodegrable polymer blends. She defended her PhD thesis at the Chemistry Department of Yildiz Technical University in 2015.
She became a Teaching Assistant at the Department of Material and Material Processing Technologies of Yalova Community College (Yalova University) in 2010. Then she promoted as an Assistant Professor at the same department in 2015. She became Associate Professor (Docent) in February 2023.
Her reserach interest include emulsion polymerization, suspension polymerization, high internal phase emulsions (HIPEs) and polyHIPEs. Recently, she focused on terpene-based polyHIPEs and suspension polymerization of terpenes.
